Hi, I have read differnet discussions on the TV Guide, but I can not find how to select a show once I find it in the search. it displays the name of the show but that is all:confused:
How do you select it so that you can now schedule it to be recorded???

Thank you

Pasquale

Sorry: found that I had to convert to the sqlite3 db and it works. :o

How did you fix this? I'm having the same problem but thought I was already switched over to the new db.

I ran the changedatabase.exe in the GBPVR folder and follow the instructions.

Good news: the last post worked and fixed the search guide. Bad news (for those who may not have the computer knowledge to think it through):changing the database will eliminate your EPG source entirely and eliminate your recordings -past and pending. Good news for me: I had used the export recordings feature in the plugin directory before I upgraded so when I used the import recordings, all the past recordings were returned. I did have to recreate the EPG source but I know how to do that.

Anyway, just a word of warning for those who want to get the search guide working - make sure you know how to get your recordings and epg source back

Well running changedatabase.exe fixed it for me too, but it didn't eliminate my EPG source. SchedulesDirect stopped grabbing listings until I applied the patch from the survival guide, but that was all I had to do. All is now well!

Sounds like you didnt tick the migrate data checkbox, so it effectively switches you to an empty SQLite database.

Your original database is untouched so you can rerun the utility if you want, and this time make sure you check that checkbox.

Thank you. I didn't need to rerun the program because I had solved the problem myself by using the "import recordings" in the plugin config tab (and was very proud of myself for solving my own problem). Is there any need or problem in deleting the old database (assuming I can find it)? The reason I ask is that I am under the impression that computers work better when the C: drive, or even the drive that holds the prv recordings, is not too close to full.

I am lost here. I followed the instructions on Changedatabase.exe, click all the box, execute, and the program said everything is done. But then the EPG sources are all gone. I tried again and got same results, can someone help?

I have been on sqlite since it was available in gbpvr but have the problems listed in the first post about not being able to schedule recordings from a search. I do all tv viewing through MVP's. I just figured it was on the to do list. Should this be working Sub?

Other than the wrapping that can occur with log show names, I'm not aware of any problems.

Can you give a more detailed description of what exactly is happening or not happening for you?
