gbpvr command line switches

Where can I find detailed instructions on the command line switches that gbpvr takes? for example gbpvr -import can it take a different filename as an argument? what is the syntax? I cant find it in the wiki.

Trying to make a import function for my offsite recording setup and I dont want to shut down gb-pvr to import the import.xml file into the recording-dump.xml

There is no detailed instrunction available on these, but they include -direct, -directonly, -export, -import, -removehistory, -emptyepg, -emptyepgonly, -updateepg, -updateepgonly, -removeallgenre, -removehistory and -deletependingrecurring

The -import and -export parameters do not accept a filename argument. They always operate on recordings-dump.xml.

Quick question. what is the standard behaivoir of the -import function?

doe it add items and keep all existing? or does it erase all current entries of existing recording and then rebuild it's DB completely from the recordings-dump.xml

It doesnt erase any existing entries. It checks whether a recording is already present in the database before attempting to insert it, so in theory it'll only add new items.
