During configuration, I entered my e-mail address and password for Schedules Direct as prompted, and I got the same error as the original poster. Then I read this thread and tried entering my Schedules Direct username instead, and this worked.

I think the confusion lies with GBPVR config asking for an e-mail address instead of a username. It might be a good idea to change this for the next release.

Anyways, thanks for your continual hard work on GBPVR, Sub!
Up until yesterday the email address was the username on the Schedules Direct website, so email address was the correct thing to ask for. None of the users up until now had a username other than their email address.

Just to confuse thing though....in the last day they've now added a separate concept of login name (and updated the SD website) to support one particular application that couldnt be updated to accept an email address. That application was no longer being maintained by the author, and had the "@" symbol as an invalid character.

So, I'm trying to change over to Schedules Direct, too and it won't let me update my EPG. I get this error: LINK.

I went into SD and changed my login from an email address to just jfoust and tried that and still the error. Any ideas?

This is because you havnt applied the Schedules Direct patch from the sticky 'v1.0.16 survival guide' thread: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...ostcount=7

I installed this patch and am still receiving the same error. Could it be something else?

If it mentions 'webservices.prod.schedulesdirects.tmsdatadirect.com' in the error message, as shown in the screenshot linked in ProbeGT's post above, then the patch hasnt been applied.

If you're getting a slightly different message, then post the logs and I'll take a look.

OK, I'm trying not to be a dummy here. . . and I've spent the last 40 minutes searching, but how does one apply the backend patch? Apparently it's not as easy as just copying the file into the GBPVR directory.

Edit: Oops. . . maybe it is. I had forgotton to change my login to just my login name. It works now, I think.

Still looking at Zap2It! So I updated to the latest version of GBPVR. I did the Microsoft C patch, and the Schedules Direct Patch. But when I try to update the EPG I get the error that the configuration is wrong. I deleted my capture source and completely recreated it with Sched.Direct as the source and it won't fly. In fact it says it is trying to access Zap2It. Even thought Zap2it is no longer selected or on the list. Can anyone help????

Under the covers Zap2It is still the provider, Schedules Direct is the interface to the data. You'll probably have to post your logs before anyone can help you out.
