I've set up my SD account, installed the necessary GBPVR patch and configured the EPG Source ... checked and double-checked each step. But I can't download or update from SchedulesDirect. When I try to update I get the enclosed incomprehensible (to me) note.
Help! What is the problem and how can I correct it? Many thanks.

I've found a solution to the "The remote name could not be resolved:
‘webservices.prod.schedulesdirect.tmsdatadirect.com’" error line at the following location:

http://forums.schedulesdirect.org/viewto...=240#p1455

The problem is that "prod." shouldn't be in the above name. The correct name is 'webservices.schedulesdirect.tmsdatadirect.com' and the address is 206.18.98.175

The quick fix is to go to c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts (on XP) and add the following line to the end of the file:

206.18.98.175 webservices.prod.schedulesdirect.tmsdatadirect.com

This is spelled out in detail at the above site.

The fix worked for me. Thanks for your responses to my question.

A better fix is to apply the patch in the 'v1.0.16 survival guide' thread.

The reason for this patch is that the final URL for schedule direct was still unknown at the time the v1.0.16 release was made.

Stupid fix, but i was having the same problem. GB-PVR asks for email in the configuration settings; HOWEVER, you need to put in your USERNAME. Maybe you were doing what I was doing.

Thats also described in the sticky 'v1.0.16 survival guide' thread.

Until about a week ago, ever schedules direct user only had an email address and password. In effect the email address was the username. Last week they changed this, letting people have a separate username. So people new subscribers will need to enter their username where GB-PVR asks for the email address. I've changed the label from 'email address' to 'username' in the next release.
