I have one 550 card in my system, and am looking to add a second.
I'm aware that people have had problems with dual 550s in the past (sound cut-out), but I think these problems had to do with ATI's driver, and have since been resolved.
As for GB-PVR, it seems that changing the AutoDetectEncoderMethod setting in config.xml resolves most issues.
I've done some extensive searching and found success stories such as in http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=29620 and also failure stories such as in http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=25648
So for people with recent dual 550 experience: Is it mostly successful now that the driver issues are resolved, or are there still lingering problems? Is this still an officially unsupported configuration by GB-PVR? I'd like to use two 550s instead of a Hauppauge 150 if possible, but don't want to buy a second 550 if I'll likely be faced with problems. Thanks everyone for your help!
