So I am trying to setup another computer as a client. I followed the instructions on the wiki. If I use the streaming mode I can neither watch live tv or access recordings. If I choose file sharing I am able to view recordings which works well, but am still not able to access live TV. The EPG shows up fine. Any ideas? Attached are all the logs if that helps. Thanks, your program rocks!

Unfortunately the dvr-ms mux cant be used if you need to view in-progress recordings from another machine (which live tv needs to do).

So does that mean I can't use my ATSC tuner to stream live tv to another computer? Sorry I'm a noobie.

Possibly not. Most ATSC users need to use the dvr-ms mux to get decent recordings, but unfortunately this type of file can be played from another machine while the recording is in-progress. The is because Microsoft uses some shared memory to communicate between processes accessing the dvr-ms file while it is recording, but unfortunately this shared memory cant be accessed from another machine.

You options are living without this feature, or downloading and trying another mux.

Not trying to hijack, but I have a similar situation. I can view recordings, but can't view live TV either. I am using the TS Mux. I do get great recordings. When I try to view live TV from a client, the title appears and I get either a black screen or I'll get one frame of the video and then it drops.

TS mux also wouldnt be able to do it, but for different reasons. If you want to this you'd have to be using a mux that generates .mpg files. ie, the Cyberlink or ATI muxes.

Yeah, unfortunately it can be picky with hight bitrate ATSC streams.
