Duplicate episodes NZ??

Do anything here in nz?? for subtitles? or was it a zap2it thing. I have it turned on and still see duplicated recordings for what looks like the same sub-title.

I believe it is a zapt2it thing, and would only be possible elsewhere if your EPG supported it (it would need to assign each episode a unique number...)

This setting is only relevent to the US/Canada where the unique show identifiers are available.

Checking sub-titles or descriptions wouldnt be adequate for identifying duplicates since most shows just receive generic descriptions in these fields.
