Hi,
Any chance you will be supporting m4a aac files in the future (playback as well as tagging)? I have some sample files if you need them.

what extention are they? I've added a string in the config.xml with all the extentions, if not there, you could try adding it, then its a matter if the entagged-sharp reader will read it...

the extension is m4a, which is already listed in config.xml, but apparently entagged is not reading them. I checked the files themselves, and they are tagged.

Ok,. I've got some m4a's here so I'll confirm that they are being read.

ok, i think i figured out why its not reading them (at least on my end)
for some reason, ml2 doesnt seem to be updating its catalog (i have it set to run a full scan daily). I tried running a manual scan last night and this morning it still hadnt made any progress. Any idea why it might be doing this?

Not sure why the manual scan didn't work - but this might explain why you automated doesn't work:
Code:
Setting returned is -1 from: /settings/PluginSettings/MusicLibrary2/ScanHour

This needs to be the hour of the day when to run the scan - currently you have it tured off.

You also seem to be getting a skin error:
Code:
2007-09-09 19:11:59.140    ERROR    [1]    Error: msg=0x100 (WM_KEYDOWN) hwnd=0x330150 wparam=0x47 lparam=0x220001 result=0x0  :  System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null.

Can you give me the contents of \skin\blue\MusicLibrary2\ directory (in c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr if you installed to default)

I just had a look at you MlUpdater log, that shows it scanning, but yes can't see it looking for files.

I think I had some work done in this area - which version are you on?? I remember there was a logging problem. You could push it up to insane logging and see if that gives any more information.

What normnally happens if it checks files against a stored last modified time and doesn't re-read if it hasn't changed.

You could "nuke" your library and scan again and see if they get picked up, as if you originally did the scan before I had m4a reading then the files would already have been read (just without the tags). ANd they wont be re-read as the date hasn't changed....the more I think about it, the more that sounds likely.

That's whats in the skin\Blue\MusicLibrary2 directory. How do I correct a skin error?
I started out on version 6.5, then i installed 6.6 beta 1, and then beta 2 a few days ago.
That's odd that it says that scanhour is -1, I have it set to 4 (4am) in the plugin config form.
I'm gonna try nuking the library and see what happens.
