Hi,

I have a Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2 installed and working on my PC but when I add it as my capture source I receive a message that it does not appear to be installed.

I know it's installed because it's up and running with the Hauppauge PVR. I've used the MCE drivers because they appear to be more stable.

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot would be appreciated.

Thanks

have you read the wiki as to see if your card is on the list of compatible cards
if its analog card it needs to have hardware encoder

have you added your card in config
tick the box that says only show card on this machine

As stustunz suggested, did you try ticking the 'only show devices detected in this machine' checkbox? Newer drivers for the WinTV PVR USB2 now show up as a WinTV PVR2 USB2.

Can you run filtercheck then zip and attach the filtercheck.log? http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6

Checking the box "Show only devices detected..." showed that I had a PVR2 USB2. It must be the drivers, as you said. I'm using the latest MCE drivers for this.

Thanks

Yeah, this is normal, just select the PVR2 USB2 device when you create your capture source.
