How many have US ATSC and Cyberlink mux to mpeg2 working? A post is preferred but I included a poll in case you don't want to.

From what I've read most ATSC users need to use the Microsoft DVR-MS mux if they want to recording from high def channels. The Cyberlink mux doesnt seem to behave correctly with the high bitrate data.

Sub,

Since you provided several patches for this, I record HD directly to mpeg2 files. I can't remember the last failed recording, so it must work pretty well for me. I think I am using the Cyberlink MUX, though it is possible I am using an ATI MUX. I'd have to confirm.

Thanks for the post sub. From reading other threads it seems people keep mentioning using the Cyberlink or ATI mux but within the same thread there will be a note some people can't get Cyberlink to work. I just wondered if any of them got it to work.

I will also note that I do not use the recommended Cyberlink MUX version, but a more current version. Or course, that wouldn't matter if I am actually using the ATI MUX.

Remember when reading the posts that alot of users are using DVB-S/T/C, which works fine with the Cyberlink or ATI Mux.

Also, as of the 1.x releases, there was change that greatly improved ATSC compatibility with the Cyberlink and ATI muxes. Prior to this version, ATSC definitely didnt work well with the Cyberlink mux - so keep this in mind when reading old posts.

Seems like my ATSC recordings with the Cyberlink mux had audio / video sync issues. The recordings *did* playback, though.

DVB card, Cyberlink and DVR-MS work but often go out of sync, particularly on the one channel that is farthest from me. As of last week, I get almost no sync issues with the ATI mux. That one channel can still be off a hair once in awhile, but it used to often be off by seconds if it was on long enough.

edit: It looks like ATI mux is what started screwing up audio stream 1 on my recordings. All the file info shows is "mpeg2 audio" with no bitrate or anything when it should be AC3 6-channel and a bitrate. It had worked fine for days. Man, I just can't win.

edit: scratch that. Two programs played correctly today, then the rest were back to the audio stream 1 problem AND getting out of sync with cyberlink. lol. Back to ATI mux.
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

I use cyberlink, and have few problems.
the one that annoys me the most is one channel the sound lags behind the video 1 second for every 30 mins that has passed in the recording.
so at the end of a 2 hour movie, sound is 4 seconds behind.
