Check for other processes on your computer that may be taking up valuable CPU time. Use Task manager or another similar process viewer. Is your PC up to par for the task? You may need a faster processor.

I had thought of this but it's the only channel that this happens to, and it's not even a high def channel. I recorded two different shows at the same time today and one was the problem channel. The other recording turned out fine (it was even a 1080p channel) but the recording from the problem channel still looses audio sync....

I did download BeyondTV today to try it out and the recordings from my problem channel are fine. BTV does record as .TP files though and GBPVR records as .mpg files.

Is there a way to have GBPVR record in a different file format???? I really don't want to have to pay for BTV, but I really want to record about 2 hours of stuff a day from this one channel and if I can't get GBPVR to do it I'll have to dump it.

bumping this to see if anyone knows if I can record in a different format thru GB-PVR? I just can't get this program to record this one PBS station without the audio going out of sync. BTV4 does it just fine....

The type of file your record is dictated by the mux you're using. The Microsoft DVR-MS mux generates .dvr-ms files. The Cyberlink and ATI mux generate .mpg files. The TS Mux generates .ts files.

I personally use the Cyberlink 5.0.1307 mux. A lot of US users stick with the Microsoft DVR-MS mux.
