can't seem to work out when this is happening (ie. what the pc is doing at the time...) - todays failure the pc should was coming out of standby....(or maybe it never went in)

had 20 occurences so far this month...

Zip and attach the logs and I'll see if I can see any errors.

thanks - have to wait til the kids have watched max and ruby!
never checked the logs before - where are they and is the default loggin option ok?

They're in the 'logs' subdirectory off the main install directory.

It does log by default, but I may come back and tell you need to enable log flushing in the config app and repost next time it happens.

I cant see any signs of the errors in your logs.

Does this error appear on your screen, or are you just seeing it in your Windows event viewer?

Can you enable log flushing and repost logs immediately after it next occurs?

error from eventvwr - screen is black when i change channel on tv to pc.
i pressed ctrl-alt-del and ended pvrx2 which wasn't responding earlier today..

instead of standby when idle, i'll make the pc run a batch file and write to a log so i know if is before or after standby...

have ticked the 'flush log messages to disk' checkbox - thanks for help!

happened again tonight, this time when watching a recording which was in progress (and forwarding) so nothing to do with the standby...

the app froze and had to ctrl-del and end process - got the .net run time error and an application hung event :

I dont know. Maybe as a next step try a different combination of audio/video decoder.
