Hi.
Juniors cartoons is simply eating up too much space in my setup (I'm at fault myself - I seem to always go for getting the full series of whatever I can ), so I'm seriously considering transcoding them to a more manageable size. However - I'm reluctant to leave the comfort of the mpg-format.
Anyone got recommendations as to what filetype at what conversion settings (and using which tools/apps) to get a reasonable compression while still maintaining comparable quality (which for cartoons should be easy)?
It should be with a reasonable performance in transcoding - i.e. it must be possible to get the cartoon up playing almost instantly and with no hickups/stuttering.
Experiences and/or suggestions greatly appreciated
My setup - see sig.
