I've been having an issue with both flavors of the UI: gbpvr and pvrx2. What happens is simple: it freezes. The why and the fix, well,... there's a reason for every post, right ?
The application will freeze, hard. It takes Task Manager to get rid of it, and if I was watching live tv, I need to restart the recording service. It happens quite frequently, with the freeze-up happening as quickly as 60 seconds after launch and as long as almost an hour. I've tried a number of things including updating video drivers, reading many of the posts here about freezing, examining logs, watching operation in general (eg, process explorer) and so forth. So far, nothing stands out as the potential issue. When frozen, the app is not using CPU time. No other video app on this system behaves this way. For instance, I've been watching the recorded media with VLC as it's just too annoying to watch it with pvrx2 with the freeze-ups. I've tried a few different version of gbpvr, including the latest, with no change in behavior.
I'm looking for possibilities, things to try, general advice... any suggestions ? Thanks !
