Are there any advantages to using Nero over imgburn? When it runs with Nero does it insist on re-encoding like Nero has a habit of doing?

If you attempt to burn an HD video, will either or both re-encode the file?

I use both and don't have any issues with either. Originally there was a request to add nero because one user has had trouble with imgburn.
Right now it reencodes no matter what. Even if the file is already DVD ready it runs the transcoder. I was going to look at removing this going forward if the file is already compatible, but haven't yet.

So if I understand correctly it re-encodes with imgburn as well. It would be a nice feature to skip this since it adds so much to the burn time.

Thanks for the slick plug-in.

Yes the burner just takes the image that dvdauthor creates and burns it. That encoding is fairly slow and can't be skipped. The transcode portion might be able to be skipped in some cases. Maybe pBs could shed some light on when that could happen and I'll see if I can code it in.

Pastro,

I've noticed that when I start BurnDVDX2, the previous file that I burned is still listed under "Project File List". The only way that I can remove it is to restart GBPVR. Is this normal, or am I missing something basic?

None the less, thanks for a great plug-in!

Go to the file in the project list and press return. A dialog will come up to remove the file.

The up and down keys circulate the side menus and the list of programs to be added. Using the right\left keys (and using the left key with the cursor on the programs to be added in particular) moves the highlighted bar to the programs already added. By pressing okay with the program added highlighted, the question is whether you want to delete the program rather than do you want to add the program.

I didn't explain this well but a comment like this should likely be added to the wiki (but explained in better words)

OK, I think I got it, but I had to fiddle with it and try a few times before the proper dialog popped up. I'd offer a better description of the procedure, if I only knew what the heck I did! :p

I'm trying to use the remote instead of the keyboard, but it's good to know that I can fall back on the enter key.

Thanks for the help.

Up and down arrows navigate all menus but in order to leave the list menus you have to use the left or right arrows. Navigate to the file in the project list you want to delete and press the ok button. It can be a little cumbersome to navigate.

I pulled the remove button when I ran out of room when I added the text menu. I could use the yellow button to scroll through the controls like the tab key does from the keyboard. Would that work?

I think it works fine as it is; but some of us need the written instructions on how the navigation works. Your wording as quoted above explains a lot and and I think that adding it to the WIKI will eliminate future support requests. Now that I read the navigation explanation again, the navigation is much like all the other plugins except that the menu bar effectively includes either the programs to be added or the programs that have already been added to the project but not both (i.e., it's as if the menu bar on the left includes one additional entry which is displayed on the right). Thus, you end up using the right\left buttons to go up and down when navigating between the two separate portions of the screen on the right.

However, I agree that the use of the yellow button may make it easier for some.
