I set the Remote Control Type in Config to Default(Hauupage) and clicked on the Fix Hauppage Remote Settings (45 button remote) and restarted the IR.
But still it doesn't work.
Here are my log files. [ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

I tried the remote in WinTV2000 also, but didn't work.
In the Hauppage CD I found 3 setup files in IR32 folder called IR32, IRBlast and IRBlastWiz. I installed all of them.

When I tried the Remote with my Visa Home Laptop with Media Center it worked without installing anything. SO the Remote is definitly working.

Thanks in advance.

if it doesn't work with wintv then either the batteries are flat, the ir lead has come out of the back of the card or has snapped - what card have you got - also are u using the latest drivers from hauppauge website

you only need ir32.exe

is ir32.exe running in taskmanager?

click start,run
notepad debug.txt
now press some keys on the remote. The key definition should appear in notepad. if not, then you haven't yet got ir32 working correctly.

if it is a pci tuner maqke extra extra sure that the sensors plug is pushed in correctly, sometimes you have to move the card to the left a little as the backplate of the pc can interfeer with it.

Batteries are fine and there can't be anything physically wrong with the remote or the bean bag, since they works in my Vista laptop.
I installed the Autorun CD that hauppage sent me(Yesterday). But I didn't try the drivers in the site. Do they have a separate driver for the remote?

No, its not running.
I clicked on the Restart IR, but still its not there in Task Manager.
Clicked on C:\Program Files\WinTV\IR.exe, but it says "Failed to initialized the Infared Remote Hardware"

My TV card is a PVR-500. Does it have anything to do with the remote?
I just plugged the bean bag to a USB port and tried to use it. There is nothing available to connect to the TV card.

Ah the beanbag remote - never used one. This is a totally different ball game I think.

Just a guess here but if you are running on XP, I don;t think it has the required drivers.

great news, glad you got it working.

I don;t want to spoil the party but this link suggests that you might need a 3rd party program to handle all of the buttons.

oh and I think you can uninstall ir3,exe irblaster/wizard stuff and then set remote to mce remote in config.exe.

I'll give it a try.
Currently only 8 buttons are working.
- Arrow keys
- Select
- Clear
- Volume +/-
