When I start PVRX2 it just shows the window border and nothing else. This just started today - yesterday everything was fine. I happened to go into the config.exe to turn off comskip during recording - not sure if it is related. Attached are logs. Any help would be appreciated.

Note: GBPVR starts/works fine.
BTW, I am very happy with PVRX2 v1.1.5 thus far. Very nice.
I also rebooted after this happened the first time which did not help this issue
This is an XP Home system
Radeon 9250 graphics card

I'm not really sure what to suggestion. There is no sign of any errors in the logs.

if you're running it in fullscreen exclusive mode, it's probably starting on secondary monitor...Smile [possibly even if you don't have one connected]
turn off fse or double check which monitor it's set to start on..

Sub - thanks for the candor. If needed I will reinstall.

pBS - I do not know how to check to see if it is attempting to start on the second monitor (I do not have one attached). I also do not know hoe to turn off fse mode. Please let me know.

Thanks

on the front page of config.exe..
on playback tab is the fse mode settings..you really should check all the settings in config...may be features you didn't know you could have...Smile

My problem is identical to this. Have re-installing and doing a complete uninstall/reinstall and PVRX2 still freezes. Each time I end up doing a CTRL-ALT-DEL and terminating the program manually.

I'm stumped, but then again, today is my first time using the program so I'm definitely a newbie :o

Tnx,

PVRX2 also hangs for me. Note that GBPVR works great for me.

Here's the error from the PVRX2 Log:

2007-12-02 00:34:33.187 VERBOSE SetRenderList creating new texture (720 x 480)
2007-12-02 00:34:33.203 ERROR m_pD3DDev->CreateTexture(uiElement->image->Width, uiElement->image->Height, 1, 0, D3DFMT_A8R8G8B8, D3DPOOL_MANAGED, &texture, NULL) failed
Error code : 8876086C
D3DERR_INVALIDCALL
Invalid call

This repeats itself in the native log.

I've attached my two PVRX2 logs. I'm hoping they can lead you in the right direction. The software looks really cool, so I'm excited to check out PVRX2.

i would guess that your graphics card cannot handle directx9. what cards is it?

make sure you have installed directx9.0c and that you are using the default blue skin.
