I'm using the MCE2XMLTV epg data. It works great on my PC that has MCE but every time I try to update the other one I get an error message that reads.

Quote:File sharing lock count exceeded. Increase MaxLocksPerFile registry entry.

I have been able to just restart the update previously but it doesn't seem to be working right now. I don't really know what that error is all about. I'm sure it's just something I'm not recognizing but any help would be appreciated.

Never seen that error before. Sounds like a Windows filesystem setting.

Yeah I didn't think it was necessarily anything to do with the epg program sounds like something to do with my network. I'm a little clueless on that. I didn't know if anyone knew how to go about fixing it though.

Here's a KB article on that error.

Thanks Whurlston. I had seen that but I noticed the warning on it about changing the lock count. What do you think? Is that something that I should worry about or should I just go ahead and make it larger? I've never really done anything where I had to change any registry settings before. Makes me a little nervous. Also, if I do change that how large should I make it to allow for larger file transfers or syncing?

Actually, I just realized that is for the file sharing locks on an access database. Are you still using the Access database (.mdb file) with GB-PVR? If so, you should migrate to the SQLite db3 database.
