Got MVP up and working great BUT...

The picture is dark, Slightly greener then it should be. I searched and read alot about the issue but never could come across a REAL solution. Did I miss it? I played with my INI file. It didnt help. I havent busted into the MVP and started clipping stuff yet. Id rather not unless it is my only option.

Is there a fix for this somewhere I missed? Im hooking this up to a standard 4:3 tv. Not LCD/Plasma or HD.

I've had pretty good results using the Hauppauge Tweak Tool to increase the brightness during recording. But this only works if you have one of the supported Hauppauge tuner cards. You can read more about it here:

I also use the composite video out on my MVP. I seem to recall reading that the S-Video output on the MVP is more prone to the green hues.

Ya im using the composite out already. Most of the stuff im watching is stuff thats been previously recorded. But I was hoping to be able to transfer my DVDs onto my harddrive to stream but if I cant get the color fixed I dont think I will do that. Appreciate the response.

I guess the problem is more of a faded out dark color then it is a green.

Someone else may know of a way to fix the recordings that you've already made.

I can tell a LOT of difference in the brightness of recordings that I've made since I use the tweak tool. The older ones are pretty dark, but the new ones look good.

I had this problem on a Panasonic television. The link below suggests cutting a pin on the scart cable but I am sure I managed to fix it within the Panasonic menus.

Only problem is, I can't remember how!

Suggest you tinker with television input settings first.

I was able to get it looking pretty good by playing with the colors on my actual tv. I was afraid it would screw up normal TV viewing if I did this but it didnt seem to hurt it at all. Its not perfect but its certainly not bad anymore.
