Problems for the new guy

Of the 5 PVRs I've tried this weekend, this one looks like a winner. However the config is incredibly frustrating.

I have set up an account with CT which appears to be working. When I press update listings, it acts like it's working but I get nada. I read the wiki regarding congif and CT and I don't see anything I'm missing.

Also, there isn't a setting for the Hauppauge blaster which is supposed to be supported natively. I found in the wiki about running haupblast but that didn't seem to make any difference. So, even if I set up channels manually (since it won't import them) the software won't change to them. The blaster works fine in the wintv aps.

The live tv function works fine, btw. I'm also getting much better picture quality than the other aps.

Hit the capture source 'Update EPG' button, wait for it to complete, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and I'll take a look.

Once you have the Hauppauge PVR150 IR Blaster configured in the BlastCfg app, then you should be able to set you capture source to use the '.exe channel changer' and point it at HaupBlast.exe.

Bingo with the remote. Didn't see any connection with the .exe in the instructions. Here's the log. Thanks for helping out.

Here is the cause in th logs:

2008-01-06 22:36:37.156 VERBOSE [4] CT TV Listings: Error Downloading TV Listings!
In order to verify a users email address, The user must activate an account before listings can be downloaded. This step is a layer of protection for us and our users.

Wow. The sign-up for CT actually said not to bother with activation yet. Register, but don't activate until necessary. Thanks for finding that, the log file is jibberish to us new guys.
