Hi I am puzzled as to whether GBPVR will run on win xp 64 bit. I cannot get it to install correctly. I have .net 2 x64 installed.

As far as I'm aware it works on XP 64 bit. There isnt many people doing it, but we've certainly had people indicate in the past that they're using on XP 64 bit.

What problem are you having?

when I install it it gets 75% throught the install and the reports that it can't register a parser file... I forget the name exactly. Maybe the ,net distribution is not correct. What should I have on my machine to run GBPVR?

Its most likely because you dont have vcredist_x86 installed. Same thing happens on xp 32 bit if you dont have this installed.

The same post that provided the download link for GB-PVR also provided the link to this updated Microsoft runtime.

I can confirm that GB-PVR works on XP64, as that is what I have Smile

I had to install the updated runtimes although I think I might have had to use an XP64 version - best to read up on the MS page as I can't remember exactly as it was quite a long time ago.

Why the heck as you resurrecting this old thread from jan 2008 when the only connection to this thread is that you also happen to be running xp64?

You would be better off creating a new post in the support forum and upload your log files from the time of the problem. Provide some details such as does this happen whenever you start gbpvr or only when it wakes from standby.

It's not about how huge the spec of your machine is but what you do with it.. :-)
