I've read about your problem with missing .ifo file. I've the same problem now. The .vob files are generated fine, but imgburn generates an error, because of missing .ifo file...

Hi pastro,

at weekend I'll try a little more e.g. with renaming the file.

Again, thanks to all for their answer and help ;oD

PS: the bitrate is set to low. It's only copying mpeg stream to HDD, because of DVB-T, the bitrate is always the same.

It shouldn't be changing the bitrate of the material. It should be just adding Nav packets.
Let me know what happens with the file names. There is some batch file processing that goes along with the creation of the DVD and possibly there is an issue in one of those.

...no success Sad

Got the new recording, but building an image failed with the same problem: missing ifo file.

So, I think it isn't a problem from the plugin. Will try a little bit around with ffmpeg and dvdauthor. As soon I have mor info, I'll be back.

Have a nice weekend all together Wink

My guess is that something is going wrong with dvdauthor. Try running the build from the command line and report if there are any errors from the dvdauthor.

Haven't tried it. I would think it would. If I get a chance, I'll give it a shot tonight.

Hi Pastro,

Thanks for the reply. I loaded BurnDVDX2 last night and tried to start it from the MVP but it didn't do anything. I havn't tried it yet from the PC menu. I am waiting for a new graphic card. The temp card I have in the PC at the moment is not compat with PVRX2.

Will give you a shout back later after I install the new graphics card ...Cheers

It doesn't work from GBPVR only PVRX2 as I think you noticed.

Hi,

I'm a bit confused as to how to increase the quality when burning to DVD. When I record to an Mpeg the file seems fine. I've noticed that when I burn it to a DVD there's a lot of flicker - which doesn't seem to be there on the original Mpeg. So it sounds like a problem in the convert to DVD process.

What are the main settings that I should change and where do I find these settings? I'm using a DVB-T in the UK.

Thanks,

Kurt

You might try recording at a higher bit rate. There isn't a transcode to another rate. Possibly there is some issue with the interleaving, but that would be from the player I would think. Does it flicker if you create an iso and play it?
