Im not sure if this problem is solveable but its worth a shot!

Sometimes when its cloudy the reception gets a a little annoying and really disrupts the picture, now i know this is down to the aerial as apposed to the software. However, in comparison to my flatmates tv, mine seems a lot more exagerated. Is there anything that can be done, ive tried a signal booster but that had no noticeable effects.

Thanks

Rob

A signal booster will probably only be any use if its at the aerial end of the cable and has multiple outputs one for each of you. I have a booster as well and also don't see much effect.
However, one thing I did find is that if you are daisy chaining equipment together you may find that the outputs are not that great. I have 2 Nova-T cards, one an earlier version has the Ant-out which I looped to the other card. I got very bad reception on the second card, many channels missing and blocky. Splitting the cable to the cards was much better.

Problem is im in halls of residence, i have spoken to the maintenance guys who have told me they dont support digital, they will only look into problems with analogue signals. He did tell me that they are looking to redo all of the aerial cabling at some point in the next few years at a cost of.....£18,000!!

I have cut down the distance of the cable between my TV card and the wall so now its about 25cm. Might try the signal booster again as it can't hurt to try can it?

Worth a try - although theory says that it will boost the intrference as well...

Might be worth swapping the cable if you have one lying around - although I doubt it'll have much effect

Are you trying to get digital? - if not maybe maintenance can take a look??

I found I needed a much stronger signal for my 350 than my TV needed.

Good luck

I shortened both cables to about 25cm each so theres not much cable at all and i chucked the booster in and it seems to make it better i think. Ill have to wait till its cloudy before itll really show whether its improved or not (always seems to be worse in bad weather). Sods law means its sunny it the UK today...for once!
