For some reason the channel scan of my HVR1600 (the digital QAM part) does not find the local weather channel. That channel is found by the scan from WinTV and can be viewed.

Am I missing something? The other digital channels are found from gbpvr.

Zip and post your config-native.exe.log after running a scan. Also post the channel/frequency and program number where it was found by WinTv.

Logs are attached, the channel appears as program 2235 / qam-5(16) - (digital channel 0.0 / physical channel 101) in WinTV. This should be 101.5 in gbpvr, but the channel in does not appear anywhere in the 100.x to 102.x range.

Your signal quality needs to be improved. GB-PVR finds a signal but the quality is low.
Code:

If you have a splitter connected, try removing it and rescanning.

Thanks for looking into it, I already ordered a CATV +10db amplifier, but I am still puzzled.

The Hauppauge Digital Signal Quality program shows a SNR of about 31.3 for all my QAM channels, and that is good enough to even watch NBC in 1080i HD (Both on GBPVR and WinTV) but the "WESH2 Weather Plus" channel is not detected?!

What are known good values for the signal quality measured with the Hauppauge program?

I got an amplifier and the SNR shown from Hauppauges Digital Signal Quality program now is about 32, but GBPVR's channel scan for my HVR1600 (the digital QAM part) does not find the local weather channel. That channel is found by the scan from WinTV and can be viewed in good quality.

I attached the log for my last scan. The channel appears as program 2235 / qam-5(16) - (digital channel 0.0 / physical channel 101) in WinTV. This should be 101.5 in gbpvr, but it doesn't show anything on 101.5 (or anywhere else from 100 to 102).

Any ideas?

At whurlston: The logfile snippet you quoted last time was for 105MHz, but I cannot identify anything suspicious for the 101 channel either.

Actually, I just found a second channel that is only displayed by WinTV and not by GBPVR. It's only an advertisement channel for the NBA League Pass so that I didn't realize its missing.

WinTV data: programm 2178 / qam-1 (17) / digital channel 0.0 / physical channel 92).

There is one suspicious coincidence - in GBPVR's channel mapping screen, see picture below, there is an entry with "0 (000(AC3))" where the missing channel might be which shows a different channel (this blue local county news info screen). This 0 channel appears for both missing channels at 92 and 101.

The problem actually is fixed with 1.2.9, but if you have a look at the following screen shot you see that the channel name is empty.

Anyway, it's fixed - thanks!
