Try the attached patch, and add a line to your config.xml that says:
<DirectlyHandleMCESkip>false</DirectlyHandleMCESkip>

hmmm, applied the patch here but still getting the double skip.
Only on guide, and certainly two instruction as you see the intermediate day for a brief instant.
Core2-E2180, 1G RAM, 1Gb-5450 Silent, 2Tb +300g HDDs.
