1.2.9 installation rolls back

I've tried several things to get 1.2.9 to install, but it doesnt seem to like my configuration. I've tried removin previous versions etc. now I just get this from the .MSI installer log file.

I have seen this when not logged in administrator. Easy one to eliminate.

Yes, I saw the administrator message, unfortunately I am already logged in as admin

I had the same problem repeatedly on an unstable machine. My problem was cured after performing a disk defragmentation.

Just tried a defrag - still same issue.

Are you installing over an earlier version or fresh?

If existing: You could backup your GBPVR directory (make sure you export recordings first) and do a uninstall of the old before installing the new.

If fresh then ??dunno??

I had this problem.
I had to:
stop all GBPVR services
uninstall old version of GBPVR
Copy what I needed then delete the rest
Reboot
Install of new version went fine.

If you do uninstall.....
> You can't use your old config.xml file - but you can reference it to find any settings you are uncertain of in the new install. (decoders etc.)

> do a import recordings on the recordings dump file to get them back.
