Hello,
First of all, I just want to say GBPVR is 100x better than the Hauppauge GUI that came with the Wireless MVP. I finally got divx / xvid movies working with zprocess, so now I am on to my next challenge.
On my wireless network, I have a Wii, printer, the MVP, and a Sony Laptop. I have a wired desktop PC that is hosting the server for the MVP. Every time I boot up the laptop, the MVP loses connection to the server. After a minute of "contacting servers", I get the "failed to find GUI" message before GBPVR finally comes up. The original Hauppage GUI did the same thing, so I don't think it's a problem with the software.
This leads me to believe it has something to do with the way my network is set up. Originally, I just had nonstatic IPs for everything when the problem started. I tried forcing the laptop to a static IP, but that didn't help anything. Turning on the Wii or the printer don't seem to affect anything.
Any ideas?
