Hi,

I have a wired MVP which will not start up fully. It gets passed the messages -
'configuring wired device' and 'loading application'. It then displays 'contacting servers' but gets no further (no matter how long I leave it).

It gets its IP address from my broadband router which it does successfully as I can see it in the MVP setup screen.
Windows firewall is turned off (no other firewalls running)
Using the standard 1.2.9 dongle.bin and have tried other versions.
1 mvp server enabled in config.xml

If I enable the Hauppauge MVP services it starts up and displays the Hauppauge menu fine.
It has worked once a few weeks ago after I first installed gbpvr.

Logs attached

Thanks

Martin.

The number one problem reason for connection problems is not opening up all firewalls to permit TCP and UDP access on your local LAN to PVRX2.exe.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I'm pretty sure the firewall is turned off because it is set to 'disabled' in the Windows Services.

Any sugguestions on how to diagnose the problem gratefully received eg traceroute or telnet commands.

The logs do show the connect on one of the two ports required so ping and traceroute won't help much. I guess you could confirm via netstat that you are listening on port 8337 but the logs indicate it is.
