I emailed shcedules direct and they said the datya was sent correctly, so the problem is with the aprser in GBPvr. Im still using ver 1.1.5 and changed
absolutely nothing. I will only install ver 1.2.9 when this is resolved. This seems to be quite wide ranging.
I have tried to clear everything in the epg et reload but it still
does the same.

Any chance this as anything to do with the daylight savings time that came in to effect 2 weeks ago, 3 weeks earlier then before?
Just asking because my epg is set for 14 days and it ran out tuesday at 2300 hrs.
Hit the 'Update EPG' button in the config app, then zip and attach your config.exe.log and I'll take a look.

I had a similar problem to those described here. I had "no show details" listed for all timeslots more then 4 days away.
It turned out that my (SchedulesDirect) "EPG Days" setting changed from 15 to 4. This is because I had to delete the config.xml and start over file sometime last week.
I didn't dig deeper to find out if the EPG update would have eventually caught up with the time slots labeled "No show details." I just changed it back to 15; everything looks fine now.

Here's the config.exe log file.
I noticed this error:"2008-03-28 19:22:30.703 ERROR [5] Failure in ChannelFactory::LoadCompleteGenreList(): The database file is locked. How and why would it be locked?

Anyways thanks for taking a look.

I'd be impossible to guess. You'll need to set <LogSQL> to true in config.xml, then reboot, reproduce the problem and then zip and attach a complete set of logs. This would most likely tell us why its locked.

Hi

Thought i would post here........

I have seen this in the PVR2.exe.log when doing an update EPG from desktop icon, i know there was a problem, the error follows whats inside the TV Guide, however i cant find what the letter actually is, heres the error...

2008-03-29 22:59:48.059 WARNING [1] End time before start time....
2008-03-29 22:59:50.856 ERROR [1] XMLTV: error reading xml: '', hexadecimal value 0x10, is an invalid character. Line 495103, position 919.
2008-03-29 22:59:50.872 VERBOSE [1] About to return final XMLTV channel list. Count = 221

First i dont have an editor i can find line 495103 and position 919 however the error says its hex code 0x10, so how do i convert this to engrish.

I use XMLTV GUI so this needs to be reported to the creator can alter the program to stop this letter appearing in the grabs, its from Radio Times in the UK.
Many Thanks
Ashley

UPDATE

As predicted, i removed the channel that was the last on the TV Guide (and shown as 0 in the error log) and the guide now fully works.

So is there a way of filtering invalid characters and maybe replacing them with a "#" or something instead of it dumping the rest of the XML file resulting in missed recordings and general stress from the other half who then complains that the whole thing doest work?
Many Thanks
Ashley

This needs to be fixed in your XMLTV grabber before GB-PVR tries to use it. This problem is caused because your xml file is invalid. The Microsoft .NET libraries I use for reading XML files will refuse to read an invalid xml file, so its unable to processed by GB-PVR.

I think I've found the problem, Xmltv did not download the new listings. I had to reset it and all is fine now, but i can't find out what caused it.
I'll check to see if it changes after the daily downloads.

Thanks for your time trying to help me Sub.

If every thing is ok I'll install ver 1.2.9 sometime next week.

Hi
I am new to GBPVR. I have had it working for a few months now and suddenly the epg fails to load.

I have a Novat T which works fine with good signal strength. I am running XP pro.

Config.exe.log attached (does not seem to appear - hah must be a txt file !). Any help much appreciated

Best Regards
