I finally got it to install also by turning off UAC after having the Error 1721/rollback problems mentioned above. But I have no sound either. This is on a new install of Vista SP1 on a new hard drive. GB-PVR is almost the first thing I installed, other than the HDHomeRun software and VideoLAN. And the hardware is the same as what worked in WinXP SP3.
I tried changing the Audio Renderer and Audio Decoder in the Playback tab to no avail. But the sound works OK otherwise, and DVDs play OK using the default Microsoft player. So I am stumped for the moment. It is not a huge deal, since I don't playback using GB-PVR or use LiveTV, but it is strange.
