I have just found this site and software. I thought I'd try it as the software on my daughters PC, supplied by Acer is awful.

I Have downloaded 5 times but keep getting this error on install...

"Error 1335. The cabinet file 'Cabs.w1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD ROM, or a problem with this package."

I have searched and the only thing I could find is that it may be a server problem.

Any help gratefully received as I would really like to try this software.

Thanks

I downloaded the newest version and ran the install. The install stopped with the error:

Error 1335: The cabinet file 'Cabs.w1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

The options are Abort, Retry and Ignore.

OK, D/L the package again. Same result. Downloaded GBPVR10008.msi and the install went flawlessly. Again, D/Ld the newest file, GBPVR10209.msi and the final result was the same as ever. Searched for the cab file on my HDD - ain't no such thing. Hey, no wonder it can't be found, eh?

After clicking 'Ignore' the end result is "Internal Error 2350.'

Where is the cab file it's loking for? The XP install disk? Was the cab file part of the MSI file and was it removed before the install was complete?

We've had this happen a couple of times in the past when the installer file had somehow corrupted itself on the server. Its been fixed in the past by me reuploading working installer to the web server. I wont be doing this now though since there is going to be a new release later today.

Okay. I guess I'll have to try and find an older copy for this then, as my system is down at this point.
