Hey, Sub, since you have nothing better to do and are no doubt reading through every thread on the forum (haha), I just wanted to toss in my vote for this feature in some upcoming release. I don't really want the name there if the icon is there, but there's no reason for GBPVR or PVRX2 to do any more thinking about the Guide than necessary. I agree that having all three would put the WAF and NTATAF (Non-technical Annoying Teenagers Acceptance Factor) at an all-time high.

"Check out the righteous icons, dude....kewl....yeah, sweet....whoa...."

Why I let my teenagers use my system, I really don't know.

...Sigh....

PS - No offense meant to any teenagers reading this. However, if you're a teenager and you're reading this, then you're likely 100% more technical than my two teenagers, as they wouldn't be able to even find this website. MySpace and YouTube? Sure. GBPVR.com....no.
Chris
GBPVR system info intentionally left blank because I'm personally
insulted that you can't remember it from previous signatures.

I am also interested in just having the number and logo.
Has anyone been able to do this? If so, what/how did you do this.

By the way, what are all the options for "TVGuideChannelHeaderType"

example
0 =
1 =
and so on... I am just wondering what other alternative choices I can make.

0 = icon + name
1 = number + name
2 = name
3 = app decides (based on the number of available icons)

Just got around to setting up logos in my guide. Showed it to the wife to see what she thought and her first comment was "Where's the channel number?". Jumped on the forums to search for a way and found this thread. So, I wouldn't mind seeing that channel + number option added at some time as well.

If you have the channel name and the channel logo, why on earth would you want the channel number :confused:

Because the wife says, honey what channel is TBS on and its alot easier for her to go to a specific number then flip through all the channels until she sees the logo.

Thats my opinion anyhow.

That said, I'll probably add an additional header type for those that want the icon + number + name.

What I would like is a Channel Logo and number option in config. You said back in 2007 you would probably add an additional header type, any word if this could be in the next release? Maybe 4 for icon and number, and 5 for icon + number + name. A couple other people expressed an interest in this also. Big Grin

There is already a "4" for icon and number.

Are you sure? I swear I tried it and it didn't work. Maybe it's Community Skin. I'll give it a shot tonight with Blue.

The Community Skin may not be using it. Search it's TV Guide skin.xml file for "@showIconAndNumber" to check.
