Hello,

since the update from 1.2.9 to 1.2.13, I get an error message after waking up from hibernation. The message says something like "vmr9 not supported video renderer failed" (I will look for the exact message when I'm back home). The Message appears allways twice and pvrx2 is closed.

Greets from germany

Edit:

Dialogbox: "Sorry, this system does not support the required VMR9 video renderer" But it does ... when I restart pvrx2 it works again.

Not the same thing, but an observation. When I come back now from standby, I don't go straight into GB-PVR like before. Now, it shows the desktop for like 2 seconds, and THEN goes to GB-PVR where I left it before standby. This has caused crashing about twice..which is not enough for me to get concerned about it but it does seem like something is being handled differently after the upgrade.

Oh, I use EVR so I won't see what you're seeing.

I saw the same behaviour right now. When I start up the pc, I could see the desktop for a short time. I think the problem with the vmr9 message occurs when the pc wakes up at night for the gathering of epg data.

Because of the problem I returned to the 1.2.9 Release. It would be great if someone has an idea how to solve the problem that I could use the new release as soon as possible.

Yes can confirm this fixes it, have been running that script for a while now as all my posts in that thread testify to!

I have also noticed the desktop before GBPVR running though in the latest version, wonder what sub has changed?

@frankmcg,

I read the threat that helped you, but I didn't figure out how I could use the script in my system. Can you help me?

What do have to do with this script? How do run the script automatically? Where do have to store it?

Thanks in advance.

It's quite late here but hopefully this gives you enough to get started on:

First you need to download and install autoit - http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/downloads.shtml

Once installed, copy and paste gEd's script attached to the first post in the main thread into the autoit window. You then need to read the comments in that file to adjust for your setup, in particular the file references which gEd has pointing to the r: drive, the reference to your WinTV directory etc (it's designed to work with the hauppague remote).

Can't remember what else you have to change by default if anything so try that to start with.

Then you need to go to the tools menu option within autoit and compile the script. This will create an exe for you. Copy this exe to somewhere on your windows drive then add it to your start menu startup folder so it runs at bootup.

What all this does is explained in the file, but highlights include restarting your remote coming out of standby, restarting GBPVR if it crashes, fixing the bug described in this thread re renderer error.

Hope this helps!

I downloaded AutoIt and the script. But when I load the script I get an error message telling me:

"Line 87 (File ....)

GUISetState($WS_MINIMIZE)
GUISetState(^ERROR

Error: Variable used without being declared"

I saw you also wrote a smaller script. What does your script do exactly? I think gEd's script does more than I need, I only want to get rid of the vmr9 problem, the recording service and the ir remote are running stable on my system.

I've attached my script to this post. See if you have any more luck with this one. It also uses more conventional file paths so should work assuming you've installed WinTV to your c:\program files directory.
