Scan has this on their web site for the PCI card - I don't know if any of it would apply to the USB version.
AMD cpu?
****Please Note: The current batch in stock is Nova-TD 500, which is an upgraded version with Dual Aerial input. Although this version is slightly better spec than the original, there have been issues reported if using it on certain AMD Platform Motherboards with an AMI BIOS + with onboard graphics which has also got a PCI Express graphics card installed. Also please note that there are no non-windows drivers available for this card, so it is not suitable for use with Linux. ****
Hauppauge UK forums has mention of this "There is a known incompatibility with the chipset on the Nova-TD-500 PCI card and AMD processors. It might be worth checking with Hauppauge Support whether the same issue arises with the Nova TD stick."
