No Darx-starz, I did not really follow your advice on the numbers, but tried all the combinations. In my case, the PVR-250 is device #1, the PVR-150 is #2 and the PVR-350 is #3 - so the best advice as far as I can see, is to trial-and-error it through all the combinations...

I don't know if it makes a difference to have the PVR-150 in the first PCI-slot - I did not test it with another card there - and now that it works - I ain't gonna fool around with it!

I do agree this hint should go into the FAQ and wiki.

Peter,

Just for reference, which slot has which card in and what is the order (top down) of the devices on the Capture Source page in Config.exe?

I'd also be interested in knowing which PCI slots they're in.

I'm not interested in the order on Capture Source page, as this will just reflect the order that PeterM created the Capture Sources,

Hi Peter,

congratulation, a long way to 3 tuners [Image: cool.gif]
I support a site with running multitunerPVRs configurations and I think this topic is very helpful for other users.
Please can you send your config, to this anonymously form: http://www.pvrstat.de/4930/index.html
I will put a link from your config to this topic, I think this is a perfect combination, for learning more about multituning problems.

I hope that Hauppauge accept in the near future that multutuning is a reality and that there drivers
not really prepared for this (like the remote problem with retail and mce combinations).

Have fun with multituning,
Holger

I spent a few hours on Sunday trying to get 3 PVR-150s to work together with no success. only 2 of the tuners would ever record. At first, only 2 of them showed up in device manager.

I reinstalled one and it showed up but with the same IRQ. The motherboard has 5 pci slots, and I have a vga card in one of them so I started moving cards around till I got all 3 150s showing up in device manager with different IRQs.

I had a couple different configurations that looked good, and I tried recording 3 shows. The recording status screen showed all 3 were recording, but if I looked at the target directories, only 2 of them really were recording.

I finally gave up and pulled one of the 150s so that I had 2 reliable tuners.

On the Snapstream support site is a special topic to multi-tuning with some helpful tips:
http://snapstream.custhelp.com/cgi-bin....qid=190

Citation SnapStream:
Q: Which PCI slots should I use and in what order?
A: Generally, you should avoid putting cards next to sources of interference or in slots that could cause resource bottlenecks. Here are a few simple guidelines to follow:
1. Try not to put a capture card in the slot next to a video card, as it may end up sharing resources that the video card uses, or cause interference in your picture.
2. Try not to put a capture card next to a network card for the same reasons.
3. Sometimes you have to insert certain cards in a particular order to properly assign resources. You may have to experiment with this to get it right with your system.

In response to bgowland and sub, here is my working configuration:

AGP slot
PCI-1: PVR-150
PCI-2: Ethernet LAN card
PCI-3: IDE controller (extra for additional disks)
PCI-4: PVR-350
PCI-5: PVR-250
PCI-6: USB 2.0 controller

I have the "Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (Encoder/Decoder)" alone on IRQ 20. I have "Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (26xxx)" and "Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (Encoder-16)" both on IRQ-21, along with the sound card. But it works!

In Config.exe's Capture Sources, I have the PVR-350 first, then PVR-250 and then PVR-150.
