I have noticed there is an auto recording problem on my pvrx2 when I exit from live TV mode. Whenever I go into live TV and there is at least one recording file created in my recording folder without any pause button being hit during live tv mode or recording function being call. Is there a setting in configuration file I accidently set it? thanks.

I'll only create a buffering file if you watch live tv in timeshift mode (ie, live preview disabled, or using live tv from client pc, or live tv from MVP or PCH).

Is there a setting in the config file that such timeshift mode can be selected? By the way will these file be automatic deleted after exit from TV mode? I remember in my previous version of GBPVR(older UI) the files do not reside in the hardisk after I quite live TV. Thanks.

In the config app on the Misc tab there is a setting for Live Preview Mode.

Temporary recording files will be auomatically removed.

Usually within 10 minutes.

If for some reason it cant be deleted (ie file still in use) then it wont be forgotten, and will eventually be deleted. Its name is written in to the database, in the list of temporary files to be removed.
