playback problems

Problem is...there isn't any! I've wiped the systems...reloaded xp from scratch, loaded the hdhomerun software, then followed the guide to install and configure gbpvr. Got the epg stuff right and channels mapped ok..(i think). I can record shows through gbpvr, but when I go to play them back the screen just "flashes" black then returns to the menu. I also can not watch live tv through gbpvr but can through the hdhomerun software. I'm pretty sure it's a decoder problem so in an effort to resolve I've installed ffdshow and that did not solve the problem either. Attached are the log files...

Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated.

try changing your audio decoder

I have mpeg audio decoder and system default. Is there another one to install similar to ffdshow?

ffdshow should have one maybe you need to download a newer version
or ac3 filter is another

I grabbed a "beta" version of ffdshow and it had the audio codecs with it.
