Any reason not to update to the new firmware?? Does anything in it break the gbpvr interface?

I think I'll wait a while after reading this one...

In the future it is best to include the firmware revision in the subject but here is info on it.

http://www.popcornhour.com/download/01-1...P-402.html

I pretty much apply each beta as part of the PCH beta team and didn't have any problems with the release candidate for the last week or so. That being said this release didn't really address any of the problems I was having either so I am kind of neutral about it. Certainly I didn't find any new capabilities that would have helped GBPVR users.

No problems with it here, but it didn't really address anything that affected my setup.

Yes unfortunately once someone adds to the thread the main subject doesn't change. I've made a few speling missteaks that I would have liked to correct.

Another Martin where did you find this? Syabas told us during the beta cycle that all firmware an be downgraded.

It was the nmt forum here http://www.networkedmediatank.com/viewtopic.php?t=5290 in a post from 'popcorneater' and seemingly confirmed by Werner.

However, slightly later, still on page one, I now see Syabas corrects this and says
Quote: "7. You can still downgrade back to older firmware without special stepping. Pre-080612 firmware will have to step through 080612, before updating to Post-080612 firmware. Hope this is clear."
Martin (sorry for duff info)

This firmware did fix some of my anoyances. I don't get the loud crackle from my cheap 5.1 system when the PCH Reboots. And I no longer have to wait several minutes to get a SMB connection from my windows machine.
