Is it possible for GBPVR to support the ADS Tech Instant TV DVB-S PTV-341 card? I have BDA drivers and see similar cards in the BDA.ini though the card is not listed as supported in the Wiki.

In another thread it seemed that if I ran FilterCheck it would collect enough information to put together a BDA.ini entry. Is that all that is necessary for support?

Now when I open CONFIG I cannot click on the ADD button to add my capture source.

Try adding the following entry to your bda.ini:

Code:
[ADS Tech Instant TV PTV-341]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-S
FILTER_TUNER=DigiGo DVBS BDA Tuner/Demod
FILTER_CAPTURE=DigiGo DVBS 2388x Transport Stream Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Thanks for the response.

I added it to the BDA.ini file, opened CONFIG but there is still not an option to ADD a capture device. When I select ADD nothing happens.

I'd appreciate further suggestions.

Additional information:

I checked TuningAssistant but did not see the device in that list. I also noticed that several other devices from the BDA.ini file were not in there like the KWorld DVB-S which is similar to my card containing the Conexant 2338.

I realized that the satellite was plugged into another device but on plugging it into the card and rebooting there was no change. Satellite reception in DVB Dream was fine.

May mean nothing but...

In the 'I'm an idiot" awards category...

Night_rider is nominated for not noticing that Configure as Client was checked.

May my stupidity benefit others.
