Hi,
First of all, I would like to thank sub for fixing the teletext subtitles in the latest release (v1.2.13). They are now showing up properly as they used to way back with the old UI.
My problem with the teletext subtitles is that they are incredibly CPU intensive. Normally when watching Live TV (720x576 MPEG-2 DVB-T), the CPU usage stays at around 40-50%. When the teletext subtitles are displayed, the CPU usage increases to around 85-100% and several frames are dropped.
Is there something wrong in my configuration or are the teletext subtitles really that heavy on the CPU? I know my setup isn't one of the fastest ones but it should at least be able to handle this. After all, I can watch most if not all 720p x264 material I've tried (even with subtitles).
My setup:
AMD Sempron 2400+
Radeon 9250 128 mb AGP
512mb RAM
160 gb hdd
Technotrend Budget 1500 C PCI
Fuj:tech DTV USB
Windows XP SP2 /w newest patches.
PVRX2 settings:
Video Renderer: VMR9 Custom
MPEG-2 Video decoder: Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder (PDVD7)
MPEG-2 Audio decoder: ffdshow Audio decoder
BDA Multiplexer: Cyberlink
