Hi,

I'm having problems setting up this card.  I've chosen the same software playback codec as Intervideo VSS and have been using this codec in Sagetv and others.  I'm also using overlay and have tried DM9. I'm using the composite in. The image is choppy!  I've also tried using a higher bitrate with no success.  I've tried the latest release "I believe 2.14 and 2.13".  Both releases are using up all cpu cycles during playback.

Any help would be appreciated.  I've got to get this working with my mediamvp.  This seems to be the only application "and free to boot" that has a client for it.

Thanks for you help.

All I can really suggest is try picking another MPEG2 decoder. GB-PVR doesn't do any of the playback itself, so its sounds the decoder you're using is having problems for some reason. Make sure you're explicity set the decoder you want to use. Dont rely on the 'System default' setting.

I had the same problem before I upgraded my video card, I'm using a radeon 9600 now, and everything works, same encoders, etc.

Thanks for the help. It was the software codec I was using for some reason. Installed PowerDvd and used the codec for that. Everything works great now including my mediamvp. I'm couldn't be happier with this "Free" product. Better functionality and fantastic plugins'. Nobody else has an mediamvp client that can play LiveTv. This software Rocks!
Thanks!
