Does Hauppauge remote work with actual GBPVR program

I'm sorry if this a stupid question, I have gotten everything else in GBPVR to work by reading topics though.

Does the Hauppauge remote control work for the GBPVR program itself or does it only change the channels on the cable STB?

I want to be able to use the remote to scroll through GBPVR's tv guide and use all of GB's functions with a remote.

I have the remote working on Hauppauge as it will turn on wintv and change channels/record/etc (which I don't want to use) but it won't do anything when I have GB playing. Thanks for any info

yep, there's a button in the config application, Fix for 45 Button Hauppauge remote (or 34 button remote). Hit that and it will update the Hauppauge remote configuration program and it should go after you restart the ir.exe program.

What am I doing wrong?

I have the Hauppauge 150 with remote. I am running GBPVR version 1.2.9. I also installed HIP and configured using these directions:

* Download:HIP-Hauppauge-RemoteConfigs.zip (1267 downloads)

1. Copy these files into HIP directory.
2. Start HIP, configure, File, Open Configuration, select appropriate config file.
3. From Remote I/O menu, select Remote Key Map.
4. Click ‘Open Key Map’ and select appropriate remote control file. Click OK to save.
* (either ‘MCE-MCE2005 v2 Remote.hkm’ or ‘MCE-Hauppauge Remote.hkm’
5. To save configuration, Click File menu and ‘Save Configuration’…

I checked the "use direct access to Hauppauge Remote" in GBPPVR config under misc 2 tab. I have HIP and the IR programs initiated.

When I press the "Go" button on the Hauppauge 45 Remote I get the IR remote box to appear and my only option is to close it. I don't know what else to do, the remote worked when I had Hauppauge app installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Shouldnt need hip. Once you've hit that button you should be able to right click on the hauppauge ir app and restart it. (looks like a little black remote).

Then you should be good to go.

I uninstalled HIP. Under the Capture Source tab there's a channel changer drop down box. Should I be setting that to exe.changer plugin? If so, what exe file should I be directing it to?

Are you having problems with remote receiving or blasting? Reading your first post it's remote receiving.

I'm not sure which is which, I want to use the remote to start the GBPVR app and channel change through it. I was able to open the Hauppauge app but I can't open the GBPVR app

ok, so remote receiving, using the hauppauge remote to control gbpvr.

Blasting is using the output of the hauppauge card to send a signal to a set top box (like a cable box). Forget blasting for a minute.

If you have started the config application to hit the "fix the hauppauge 45 button remote - looks like this - http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/uploads/Hardware...medium.jpg)

Then start task manager and end task on the ir.exe. Then go into programs wintv ir which should start the remote program. Then start gbpvr (pxrv2) normally and try and use the remote. If this doesn't work, try and start wintv and see if the remote works.

If neither works then your remote program is not going/remote is plugged in the whole port.

I may have a different version of GBPVR. I don't have the "fix the hauppauge 45 button" to choose. There's supposed to be a button that says "Fix Hauppauge 45 button"?
