Pull SRT captions from HVR-1800 analog recordings?

I currently have the PVR-150, and use mpg2srt to pull captions from the analog mpeg files.

Would I be able to do the same thing for the analog mpeg files from the HVR-1800?

Could any US HVR-1800 owners make a short (under 20 MB) analog MPEG recording of a major network show and e-mail it to me? Then I can test out mpg2srt/ccextractor on it. Let me know if you can help out, and I'll PM you my e-mail address.
