I'm new to GB-PVR so hopefully this isn't something obvious but as soon I start recording Live TV with v1.3.7 the screen goes black but audio keeps playing. If I try and play the recording back through Recordings there is still no video.

I tried uninstalling 1.3.7 and installed the previous version (1.2.9) and found I didn't have that problem so appears to be related to 1.3.7.

I'm using the Arcosoft H.264 codec, nVidia 8500GT and HVR-2200 Tuner.

Thanks

If you're getting audio but no video, then its almost certainly related to the video decoder you're using. Try some different decoders. If that doesnt help, post the logs and I'll take a look.

Thanks. I've just found this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=38653 where some others using the Arcsoft decoder have the same problem. I'll install Cyberlink to see if that helps.

I got around this issue eventually when using 2.13 with the EVR and certain decoder settings but now with the new 3.07 version there seems no way around it, the EVR refuses to work in XP no matter what codec (decoder) I try. 2.13 was buggy with program jumps ffwd and rew, I was hoping those were fixed in this new rev but it looks like a new set of problems have cropped up.
n a positive note, the 'resume' functionality is a hoped-for improvement! However due to these display issues it might be time to have a look around.

Changing to the Cyberlink Power DVD 8 codecs has resolved the problem. Looks like an issue when using Arcsoft Total Media.

Thanks for your help
