I just tried to record a show, and it didn't record. It created the folder, but it never recorded anything. I looked in the logs, and it says
2008-11-10 21:00:00.039 VERBOSE FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: Conexant 2388x Crossbar

I looked in device manager and it claims the device is there and working fine.
I think I attached the log [ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

Looks like it!!

Any ideas where to look?

I saw something similar recently. But for Hauppauge...or similar as that is my card. I reinstalled the drivers and have not had further issue.

Its basically looking for a component of the device you selected, but not finding it. This usually means you either dont have the drivers installed, or you've selected the wrong device type.

That's really wierd, Sub. I installed this back around 10-13, and it worked fine till last weekend. I did have a problem trying to delete some old recordings, had to hit delete 3 times before it would delete. Should I try reintalling the drivers for the tuner carsd even though Vista says they are fine?

Run filtercheck.exe from the gbpvr directory, then zip and attach the filtercheck.log, and I'll see what components are on your macine.

OK, Sub, here it is. It sees the connexant 2388x, if I read the log file correctly. The card is the Kworld MCE 201.

Something is wrong with your driver install. A few of the device filters, including the crossbar filter, are missing the input and output pins. This device isnt currently in a functioning state.

Try reinstalling the drivers.

Should I uninstall from Devicew Manager and then reboot? I'm not that used to Vista.

Well, that did it. Can't figure out what happened, though. Maybe when I installed the 8-10 ATI drivers? I also used Driver Cleaner, and maybe it had a bad reaction with Vista. It's old, and was written around 2006 so maybe it screwed something up.

Another question, is there any way to tell PVRX2 to ignore what comes in from Schedules Direct that is not already in the PVRX2 guide? The satellite co is always adding new channels, (most I don't want) and then Schedules Direct adds them to the guide info which then adds them to the PVRX2 guide. Can I stop that and stick to the stuff I have in the guide? A sort of "lock the channels" button?
