Hi,
On Windows XP 32 this works great, however on Windows XP x64, GBPVR refuses to register a few things, psiparser and a few others.
I have installed the redist package that comes with GBPVR, and am not sure what will fix my problem?
Please help, I really liked using GBPVR on xp 32.

I agree, there's something that 1.2.13 doesn't like about XP x64, mine also crashes. The weird thing is I tried going back to the previous version, and it doesn't work now either -- maybe it is something to do with the 64-bit redist package I installed.

I'm not aware of anything that wouldnt work on XP x64 version, but I certainly dont test it on anything other than 32bit XP and 32bit Vista. Its most likely todo with vcredist_x86 though.

interesting!

well, my problem start on installation, like Tom says. It does not register a handful of items. I have installed a lot of other programs on the system, so I don't think it is due to lack of admin rights or anything like that. Afterwards (naturally), it keeps crashing when I try to run it.

Can you check which visual c packages you have installed? (version number and type, x64 and/or x86)? Also, did you find a microsoft script version for 64 bits? Some similar issues had installing this as a solution but I onlyfound x86 version which my OS refuses to install.

Thanks! I hope I can resolve it, as finally after a long search, I found a program that covers my needs perfectly, and would love to get it working on my mediacenter!

I will help as much as I can, I dont remember having any issues at all installing it, I dont even remember doing the visual C install

Where do I do that? in add remove programs? I am not on the machine at the moment so it probably wont be till tommorrow that I'll get on the x64 box (its not my main gbpvr box)

OK add remove programs is reporting the following
Microsoft Visual C++2005 Redistributable >>click support information>>version 8.0.56336
Microsoft Visual C++2005 Redistributable >>click support information>>version 8.0.50727.42
Microsoft Visual C++2005 Redistributable (x64) >>click support information>>version 8.0.56336
Microsoft Visual C++2005 Redistributable (x64) >>click support information>>version 8.0.50727.42

Don't ask me why or how I have 2 versions on there cos I have no idea, I installed gbpvr on the x64 machine a long time after its last windows install and there was a lot of other stuff on the machine beforehand.

Let me know if you want more stuff looked at.
