Good Evening,

I can't playback m4v or mp4 files (H264 codec). They play fine in Windows Media Player. I have installed the Haali media splitter. When I select the file from the video library the screen goes black for a few seconds and then returns to the library. Graphedit looks ok, too.

I know I could just watch them using media player, but it would help my marriage if I could make it easier. Wink

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Kevin

PS Here is an excerpt from the pvrx2 native log:

Don't see any video decoder in that graph.. which decoder are you using for H264? If you're not sure, ffdshow is a free choice that will work just fine with GBPVR.

Try downloading GraphEdit, run it and choose the 'render media file' menu option, and select your file. Does it manage to make a graph for your file? If so, post a screenshot of the graph.

Thanks very much for your replies. Attached is a screenshot of GraphEdit. I've already installed ffdshow, and that is what I'm using for playing the files in WMP, etc. File also plays fine in the GraphEdit render window. It doesn't show in GraphEdit, but you can see the Haali media splitter icon in the taskbar.

Thanks again,
Kevin

If you view the properties of the ffdshow filters, is PVRX2.exe on the list of allow apps?

Son of a...!!!!

That's exactly what the problem was.

Sorry...I feel like I wasted your time because it obviously had nothing to do with GBPVR, but thank you thank you thank you.
