can PVRX2 use 64 bit codecs, I guess is the first questions and if so how? Maybe switching to WMP64? I know there is a 64 bit version of ffdshow. Not sure if powerdvd8 has 64 bit codecs. Thanks.
Do you know how to get ffdshow (32 bit version) to be the default audio decoder? I cant seem to get the merit higher no matter what I do. I even installed it as "run as administrator" but the audio decoders default to the system (mp3/oo or something and my powerdvd8).
Oh, as a follow-up, I thought even though pvrx2 is 32 bit, does it not use directx10 (is that 64 bit on vista 64?) and directshow (is that 64 bit too on vista 64?)

Sorry, I don't use ffdshow but someone else may be able to answer this. I do believe that it would be somewhere in the ffdshow audio decoder config though.

DirectShow applications can be be 32 bit even when loaded on Vista x64. Vista x64 can run both 32 bit and 64 bit DirectShow applications. 32 bit apps are installed to "Program Files (x86)" by default.
