Have you installed GB-PVR? It'll be in the directory you installed GB-PVR. The default directory is "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr"

okay thanks I have it now and in the bda.ini file i identified my wintv hauppage

[Hauppauge HVR-930C DVB-C]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-C
SHARED_NAME=Hauppauge HVR-930C
FILTER_TUNER=WinTV HVR-930C DVBC Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=WinTV HVR-930C BDA Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

what should i do next to configure my wintv using this dvb-C instead of dvb-T?

You need to setup your capture source, selecting the 'Hauppauge HVR-930C DVB-C' as the card.

Sorry, I dont time to type you lots of instructions. Click the 'wiki' link at the top of the page for some documentation, which will hopefully. Just give it a go though, its not that hard.

Sorry, but I wont be writing you a guide. Just read the info that is on the Wiki and try it yourself. If you get stuck, let us know what you get stuck on (be specific) and me or someone else will be able to help you out.

You need the newer driver for DVB-C to be listed. You can download an updated driver from http://www.hauppauge.de/de/site/support/..._1900.html

Hello,

I plan to buy the Haupauge HVR 930C tuner. But can I be sure GB-PVR also works for analgue cable signal with this tuner. I noticed that in the direct.ini file this specific haupauge tuner is not present only 900 whereas in the BDA.ini 930C is present for both DVB-T en DVB-C.

Regards,
vista home premium sp 1, 3.0 GB RAM, 32 bits, ADM athlon 64X2 processor. M779 PCIe DVB-T tuner card.

The 930C does not have a hardware MPEG2 encoder on the analog side, so not officially supported by GB-PVR. Sorry.
