That's great! By the time the updates are ready, I hope to have at least made it up to the point soccerdad is now at.

As an aside, I've been using various scans from 1.2.13, and they show NASA, so I assume the missing NASA issue is related to 1.3.x.

Ok, here are some patches for you to try. Backup the original files first, then apply these updates.

With these three updated files, I'm now able to scan and find the Nasa TV channel, record it, and play that recording back. All three of those areas needed changes, which is why there is three patch files.

Its only lightly tested, but I'm fairly confident it should work.

It looks like it is working. I got one 0 byte file then now it works fine. I might have just been impatient and did not give it a chance to lock. I have a recording scheduled in a few minutes and will see how it does. I did not rescan yet but will do that soon to look at that patch. For testing I have multidec active and multirecord checked. I will keep playing and let you know how it works in the long run, but it looks like you nailed it.

THANK YOUSmile

Should I dump that registry edit?

Great.

I will be interested to hear how a scan goes if you get time.

Yeah, it'll just slow things down and potentially cause problems.

It started the recording and it looks to be working.

BTW, with that file can you get any EPG info? I don't think it has extended epg data but do you get the now and next? Just curious

I didnt specific look for it, but it probably includes the now/next info. GB-PVR doesnt parse this though. It'll only look for the full EPG, not now/next.

Are you getting multirecord of multiple streams on a single transponder with multidec - all passing through MDAPI, or just NASA type streams?

Multidec is only going to be able to decrypt a single channel. You should be able to record multiple FTA channels though.

That's what I thought you said before.

What about these scenarios:

Multirecording several FTA and one non-FTA channel, can multidec find the channel it needs to work on, or does it need to be first/last etc. .... or is this not possible?

Multirecording multiple non-FTA channels, can post decryption for all be done with one of the post-recording decryption tools? If so, does it matter if multidec is on or off during recording? IOW, does mutidec decrypt the first and save the rest for post-recording decryption?

Thanks for the patches - I'm looking forward to trying them out.

It wont opt to use multi-record if an encrypted channel is involved.

See above.

Its not currently exposed, but I could add a setting for you to allow the multidec multi-records to occur. You'll end up with all but the first recording started being encrypted. You might be able decrypt after the fact - but this is only possible on some encryption systems.
